The pandemic confines the two in a small space (their house), providing both an opportunity to air their frustrations and their grievances with each other as they bicker and banter all day long, venting out to invisible audiences, who can lend an ear but not respond. Considered a conventional mumblecore, the movie pragmatically yet empathetically portrays a situation that many people faced when they had no option but to resort to government-issued isolation. The Karate Kid (1984 version)
A fantastic fusion of sports, teen drama, mild action, and adventure, this movie, The Karate Kid (1984) is a must-watch for young boys and girls! Even though he strikes a sweet friendship with Ali, he’s constantly targeted, bullied, picked and ganged up on. When things turn ugly and Daniel has no choice but to enroll himself in the upcoming Karate Competition to prove a point, he finds help from a surprising aide, the apartment janitor Mr. Miyagi, who ironically turns out to be a Master of Karate!
Although he is reluctant in mentoring Daniel for the competition but agrees to help nonetheless. And thus begins a journey where Daniel is taught the discipline of Karate in its truest essence! The Silence of the Lambs
Based on the hit novel of the same name by Thomas Harris, this 1980s psychological thriller release shocked audiences globally. Magnificently intelligent and full of horror, it brings chills even today. With a deranged serial killer on the loose, the FBI sends one of their top trainees, Clarice Starling to interview the lethal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a vicious psychopath, who is imprisoned for various inhuman acts of cold slaughter. Starling’s boss, Crawford believes that Lecter would be able to present some material on this elusive serial killer, which would help the FBI profile him in a better way so that it’s easier to catch before more people are harmed. Hence, for this matter, they send the young and pretty Starling, hoping that she might be able to unearth some info that might be valuable for the FBI.
