What was the announcement what was revealed D&D Direct?
The last announcement to greet us at Wizards of the Coast‘s first ever DND Direct is easily one of our top picks. Vampirates and giant space hamsters aside, the returning to Dragonlance into the realm of Dungeons and Dragons is all we wanted to be told. They did us a bit better. The announcement came in format of an teaser trailer that was narrated by Shohreh Aghdashloo. Do I need to say more? Don’t worry, I will.
The details surrounding returning Dragonlance The information regarding the return of Dragonlance is scarce, yet exciting. Players will play the classic tale through two distinct kinds of play. The one can be described as Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen. The book is an adventure that tells us the story of a new author set in the initial phases of the War of the Lance. We’re not sure how the story unfolds however we do know that it’s going to be epic. If the trailer is anything to go by it’s going to be full of action.

The second version is the Boxed Battle game Warriors of Krynn. This is where the real mystery is. We have no information about the game, other than the fact that it’s a game of war which will be coming in a large black box. We believe it will include numerous exciting minis and an adventure that is different to those in the Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen campaign book. Both formats are scheduled to be released in the latter half of 2022. We expect Wizards of the Coast to be able to provide us with more details in the coming months. Perhaps a deeper review of The Warriors of Krynn? Maybe a glimpse into the book’s adventure?

Who would have thought that my most favorite scene of this year’s DND Direct today would be an 80s themed song about the next batch of legendary legends? It’s true, everyone. At the very least, I can claim that I’m constant. The forthcoming Wizards of the Coast live-action show Legends of the Multiverse is exactly what I’m looking for. It’s packed with familiar Dungeons and Dragons name and will feature epic stories over the course of a single hour of recorded episodes.

Legends of the Multiverse is an ambitious undertaking that weaves stories from many adventurers from the globe, yes, the multiverse. The principal cast of the show is comprised of Deborah Ann Woll, B. Dave Walters, Gina Darling, Meagan Kenreck and Todd Kenreck. The trailer also showed that we might be seeing Brennan Lee Mulligan, Aabria Iyengar, Ginny Di, Anna Prosser, Deejay Knight, Emme Montgomery, Travis McElroy, Sungwon Cho, Jim Zub and Boo! There’s no need to know more about the story in order to fall in over.
From the images as well as the news to Spelljammer: Adventures in Space, it appears that it will take place within the same universe. Boo being described as a miniature space hamster is an obvious hint. As the series is set to come out before the adventure’s release the next day, it’s likely to provide us with a first glimpse at what we are likely to encounter. I hope they don’t have any space-themed clowns. Vampirates, I’m in for this. All you need is vampirates.
The series will have different dungeon masters who will be featured for each adventure arc, which means that we’ll get to meet the amazing creators behind the scenes too.
